Last week we went to 2nd grade to listen to a wonderful story they´ve been working on lately: The Gruffalo. Thank you so much for having us!

Happy Halloween!

Magosta

We celebrated the arrival of the Autumn with the Magosta. We were so lucky having such a sunny afternoon!

Como es tradición en nuestro cole hemos dado la bienvenida al otoño con la celebración de la Magosta. ¡Tuvimos mucha suerte con la tarde tan soleada que disfrutamos!

Desayunos Saludables

Last month we went to La Magdalena to learn about the importance of a healthy breakfast. We also got a sandwich that we made ourselves.

  El pasado mes fuimos a La Magdalena a recibir una charla sobre la importancia de los desayunos saludables. Después nos dieron un bocadillo que pudimos hacernos nosotros mismos.

Albergue Otoño

In October, we went to the youth hostel in Cabañes. We had a lot of fun learning about the geography of the area, the rivers, the birds and other animals… We also leanrt how to make bread and cider and walked a lot in the mountains!

En Octubre fuimos al albergue de Cabañes. Nos lo pasamos muy bien aprendiendo la geografía de la zona, los ríos, los pájaros y otros animales…También aprendimos a hacer pan y sidra y anduvimos mucho por las montañas!

Good bye...

Last week we all said our goodbyes to the school year. We had a party, we listened to music and we gave diplomas to the students of the year.

It has been a great year and we will miss you! Have a great summer!

La semana pasada dijimos adiós al curso escolar. Hicimos una fiesta, escuchamos música y entregamos los diplomas a los estudiantes del año.

¡Ha sido un gran año y os echaremos de menos! ¡Qué paséis un feliz verano!

Visita al Telepuerto

We went to visit the Teleport. We learnt all about the antennas and the satellites and how they help us communicate nowadays. All the explanations were in English! It was very interesting!

Visitamos el Telepuerto y aprendimos sobre las antenas, los satélites y como nos ayudan a comunicarnos hoy en día. ¡Y todo nos lo contaron en inglés! ¡Fue muy interesante!

El Diario Montañés

We visited the newspaper and we learnt how it is created. We enjoyed it very much!

Visitamos el periódico y aprendimos todo el proceso de su creación, desde que los reporteros salen en busca de las noticias hasta que nosotros lo podemos encontrar en los kioskos. ¡Nos lo pasamos de maravilla!

Albergue Primavera 2013

Here are all the pictures of our trip. We had a great time learning in Julióbriga, exploring the cave and the mountains, and of course, playing with our friends. We all had a great time!!

Aquí están las fotos del albergue. Nos lo pasamos genial aprendiendo en Julióbriga, explorando la cueva y las montañas y, por supuesto, jugando con nuestros amigos. ¡Nos lo pasamos de maravilla!

El Hadito Heladito

A couple of weeks ago our first grade students performed a great play for all the school. We loved it and were very impressed with their talent!

 Hace un par de semanas los estudiantes de primero hicieron una obra de teatro para todo el cole. ¡Nos quedamos impresionados con su talento!

Happy Mother's Day!

For this special occasion we made origami dresses and a beautiful photo frame made with clothes pegs. We have some artists in our classroom! We hope you liked it, moms!

 Para esta ocasión tan especial hicimos unos vestidos con papiroflexia y un marco de fotos hecho con pinzas de la ropa. ¡Esperamos que os haya gustado!

Semana Santa

All the children did some research on the Holy Week and these are the results.

Welcome Spring!

We created a mural celebrating the arrival of the spring.

Hemos creado un mural para celebrar la llegada de la primavera.

Virgen de África Celebration

Last month we celebrated Virgen de África. We enjoyed the beautiful day and drew pictures of the school. Then we had a little snack. We had a great time!

El pasado mes celebramos la Virgen de África. Disfrutamos del día en la finca e hicimos dibujos del cole. También tomamos un pequeño aperitivo. ¡Nos lo pasamos genial!

The Legend of King Arthur

On February 19th, we went to the Jose Maria Pereda High School to enjoy the play The Legend of King Arthur. We had a great time!

El pasado martes 19 fuimos a ver la obra de teatro en inglés The Legend of King Arthur, en el I.E.S. José María de Pereda. ¡Nos lo pasamos de maravilla!

Happy Valentine's Day!

On February 14th we celebrated Saint Valentine's Day at our school. We made a mailbox and all of our students wrote a friendship card to another classmate. We had such a nice time!

El 14 de febrero celebramos el día de San Valentín. Hicimos un buzón en el que metimos tarjetas de amistas que los niños se habían hecho unos a otros. ¡Pasamos un buen rato!

Carnival Time!

On Friday we all celebrated Carnival at school. We had some snacks in the classroom and then we went to the gym with the rest of our school. Hope you had a Happy Carnival!

El viernes celebramos Carnaval en el cole. Primero tomamos unos aperitivos en clase y después bajamos al gimnasio con el resto del cole. ¡Esperamos que hayáis pasado un Feliz Carnaval!

Peace Day/Día de la Paz

On January 30th we celebrated the Peace Day. We all gathered together and sang some songs with Paco and his guitar.

El pasado 30 de enero celebramos el día de la Paz. Nos reunimos todos juntos y cantamos canciones acompañados de Paco y su guitarra.

The Food Project / La comida

During the first term, we divided the classroom into countries. Each group had to find out typical food in their country and then make a poster. These are the results. You can watch the videos here.

Durante el primer trimestre, dividimos las clases en países. Cada grupo debía encontrar comida típica de su país y después hacer un poster. Estos son los resultados. Podéis ver los vídeos aquí.

Christmas Time!/ ¡Navidad!

A little late but here are the pictures of how we celebrated Xmas at school. We can see the decorations, the great 'Chocolatada' thanks to the 'AMPA' and the performance of our Christmas carol.
